    Strength through flexibility

    Strength through flexibility

What the air wing can teach us about strength in a turbulent life?

This video captures rare footage of aircraft wing testing.

The 2.5-ton wing moves with an amplitude of 5.2 meters in each direction (which is a total of 10.5 meters!), and its integrity is not violated. This amplitude is about 150% of the hypothetically maximum possible amplitude (for example, when we are inside thunderstorm activity, which we never fly into in real life).

In order to be durable, any material must be flexible.

That is why the wings of the aircraft “flap” in turbulence. This is not a sign of their unreliability, as many fearful fliers believe, but the opposite.

Our psyche works the same. Strength requires flexibility.

Life will always be turbulent: comfortable, calm periods give way to difficult and unpredictable ones. And this is also a part of life.

P.S. you’ve got me by your side on this journey.
